The UGA Women’s Club Lacrosse team is a competitive non-varsity lacrosse program. Along with competing regionally and nationally, we work to advance the growth of lacrosse in the state of Georgia and within the community.

Founded in 1994, we have continued to become a stronger, more competitive program throughout the years. In the Spring of 2007 we took our first trip to the WCLA national championships and have continued to receive a bid for all the following seasons. In 2016 we won the national championship, and for the last 6+ years, we have won our conference championship. We travel around the country to play the best teams in the nation. In 2023, we traveled to Los Angeles, CA and Boulder, CO to represent UGA and play against tough competition to prepare for the national tournament. Our 2023 team took home the title as SWLL conference champions. We finished our season with the most wins in the WCLA for division 1 teams for the second year in a row, and runner ups to the national title.

At the 2023 national tournament in Virginia Beach, VA, Georgia had a handful of players recognized for outstanding achievement on the field and in academics. Delaney Ott, our goalie, received the goalie of the year award, first team all American, and Academic all American. Olivia Hoekman (defense,) Ryanne King (attack,) and Delaney Ott (goalie,) were all named first team all Americans. Savannah Sabol (midfield,) Katelyn Sparks (midfield,) and Kayleigh Page (attack) were named second team all Americans. Kayleigh Page was also named Rookie of the Year. Our players are encouraged to make their education a top priority. Sofia Verna, Delaney Ott, Riley Davis, Alex Young, Savannah Sabol, Whitaker Welch, and Ryanne King were named Academic All-Americans. We are so beyond proud of our teammates and their achievements.
